A basic domestic rewire for a typical three-bedroom house starts from £4,500. This is a guide rather than a fixed price because two similar-looking houses can require very different amounts of work.
What changes the price?

How to get an accurate quotation
A site visit allows the electrician to review the existing supply and earthing, inspect likely routes and agree an outlet schedule. It also helps establish which finishes need protecting and whether sections of the existing installation can remain.
Very low estimates sometimes omit testing, certification, making good or enough outlets for modern living. Comparing the written scope is more useful than comparing the headline price alone.
